Smearing the drawing book with colors, that is what Artwork means for my four year old, though in his imagination he is drawing train tracks, cars and Doraemon.

However we made colors successfully from a scratch – we mixed turmeric powder in some water to make yellow, and for red we grated and strained beetroot to get red coloring liquid. Instead of brushes we used our fingertips, palms, and a piece of thermocol which was lying around. It was really a wonderful project and kept my son occupied and focused for sometime.

This Artwork also gave a whole new meaning to enjoying simpler things in life. If not for my son I would not have done all this coloring and color making, kids do make us unlearn and learn new things.
