It is happiness to have my son around all the time. But that also means, added responsibility to keep him engaged in productive activities.

Today he did two things-

  1. Requested gardener to give him some stems of bougainvillea for the flower vase that he made out of empty plastic bottle.
  2. Bought a watercolor drawing book and color set – he ended up smearing a lot of pages with colors but the only thing that mattered today was his experience with water colors. He liked the activity so much that every now and then he would be seen sitting at his study table painting some more pages.

So the day was productive today – he learnt and experienced a new thing – water color painting and learnt how to request for things.

I believe that it does not matter that a child creates a masterpiece it matters that his everyday is filled with joy and wonder about experiencing and learning new things.
